Training & Support from our Staff
Lack of resources to create and run their own accelerator, and they want a turnkey solution.
Impact isn’t covered in their current curriculum (ie. doing good through business).
No clear method to measure success beyond just revenue (ie. what is the impact on the community?)
To decide which option is best for you, ask yourself: how much support do you want from us?
Do it yourself
For those who want to do it themselves, with support from our staff on an as-needed basis.
As-needed support
Have us help
For those who want regular support from our staff all along the way. Customizable options available.
2x the support!
We do it for you
For those who want our expert SEA Change staff to handle everything for you.
4x the support!!!
Carla Boon, Partnerships Manager
Carla is here to answer any questions and guide you in the right direction. She’s worked in operations and program management for over 15 years in a variety of sectors, including start-ups, non-profits, education, and government. Schedule a call
Step 1: Aim - Book a 30-min discovery call to discuss which option makes sense for you.
Step 2: Accelerate - Run the accelerator with as much support as you want from our staff.
Step 3: Assess - Review your entrepreneurs’ success and create a plan for next year!
That depends. On a lot of things like:
Timing: when are you looking to start a new program?
Length: how long of a program would work well for your participants?
Partners: are there other resource partners you want to involve?
Budget: do you have the budget or would you need to look at grant funding in order to collaborate?
The best way to make this determination is to have a short call with our Partnerships Manager, Carla to discuss your programming goals (See? Support starts even BEFORE you get up and running)! She’ll be able to guide you in the right direction.
Some things that can be customized include (but are not limited to!):
Curriculum Topics (customized via the Meetup sessions)
Pace of meetings
Virtual v. Hybrid v. In Person
# of participants
Cost of program for participants (can be free or a charge)
Type of facilitators (i.e. paid v. volunteer)
Amount of support you receive from us
As we go through the process, we’ll work through all your options.
SEA Change is a nonprofit 501(c)3. First and foremost, the fee helps to cover a portion of the salaries of those folks who will provide you with consistent and amazing support throughout your cohort. The fee also allows us to "walk the walk" of a social enterprise, and with that earned revenue reach even more social entrepreneurs all around the country (and world)!
Yes! We keep an ongoing list of funders around the Country who tend to fund similar things. Our Partnerships Manager, Carla, can help with boilerplate language when crafting your ask.
SEA Change is also open to going in together on a grant application when the right circumstances present themselves.
Each package includes a license that allows your entrepreneurs to access our curriculum, along with training, support documents, and a project management software.
The Hustle package allows you to run as many cohorts as you’d like in 12 months with minimal support from us. The Leverage package and Launch package covers one cohort per 12 months with support provided from our team at 2x and 4x that of the Hustle package.
The Hustle package allows you to run as many cohorts as you’d like in a 12 month timeframe! If you’d like more support than that, AND multiple cohorts, just let our Partnerships Manager, Carla, know during your discovery call.
That is the question! We very strongly believe that social capital is one of the most important things we can give to our entrepreneurs. So we encourage you to hold a Showcase event at the end of your cohort! Bring people out to meet ALL of your participants! Drive that engagement!
Whether or not you decide to include a pitch competition as a part of that event is completely up to you. It does tend to drive attendance, so we include one in our Signature Cohorts (run by our staff). Should you decide to pitch, our support documentation includes resources to help you plan... We’ve run dozens of pitch events over the past 10 years and have learned a thing or two!
You don’t necessarily need to give away cash, but if you choose to do so please note: SEA Change does not fundraise for pitch awards for our Affiliate Partners. We can, however, provide resources to help!
The SEA Change curriculum stands out for its comprehensive approach to educating social impact entrepreneurs. Covering all the critical topics for a startup—such as mission development, customer market fit, branding, and financials—SEA Change uniquely examines these areas through the dual lenses of financial sustainability AND social impact. This dual focus ensures that our participants not only build successful businesses but also drive meaningful, positive change in their communities.
Move your entrepreneurs who want to do good forward further, faster!
