Welcome 2025 North Carolina Social Enterprise Alumni!

The first-ever North Carolina Signature Cohort crossed the finish line on Wednesday, November 5th—officially joining our growing network of SEA Change Alumni. This milestone marks the launch of a new wave of Social Entrepreneurs in North Carolina who are redefining what it means to build a business that does good and makes money.

These Social Enterprises span a powerful range of impact areas—academic equity, slow-fashion from second-hand materials, kinship caregiving support, shelf-stable fresh food solutions, youth cooking programs, community wellness hubs, sustainable-choice browser tech, oyster waste upcycling, STEM access for underserved youth, talent pathways for students, life-skills education, and heritage storytelling.

Their businesses are wildly different, and that’s exactly the point. There’s no one way to weave impact into the DNA of a business.

These graduates prove that Social Enterprise in North Carolina can take so many inspiring forms that drive positive change, create jobs, and strengthen communities across the state.
